Library Card Information
Library cards are free! They are quick and easy to get, with no waiting period.
Any resident of Massachusetts, age 4 or older, who can provide an ID proving current address is entitled to a library card.
Children (4-15 years old) need a parent or guardian’s signature and ID to obtain a card.
There is no replacement charge for a library card. Lost cards should be reported immediately.
You must present your card or a photo ID at the Circulation Desk to check out library materials.
Library cards may be used at any of the Minuteman Library Network (MLN) libraries. (There are 42 MLN libraries as of May 2022.)
Your library card number and a PIN are required for online access to your account.

To complete your registration, and get a full-service library card, visit the Maynard Public Library in person. Click here for directions to our building, as well as our hours of operation.
After 30 days, temporary accounts, including item requests, are deleted. This includes items from the Digital Catalog.
