English At Large Conversation Group

Wednesday mornings at 10:30am

The English At Large conversation group is for intermediate to advanced adult English language learners who want to practice speaking and listening for 90 minutes once per week. Join a group of 10-14 learners and 2 facilitators to discuss topics including American culture and holidays, idioms, casual spoken English, and daily life situations. Registration is required. Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30-7pm

Ends Tuesday, June 18. Will resume in Fall 2024.

This English class is for advanced beginners and intermediate level students. It will meet on Tuesdays from 5:30-7. The class which begins Thursday, September 28 focuses on everyday words and idioms which students will likely hear in their daily lives. A topic for discussion is offered in each class. Grammar is not emphasized. Vocabulary sheets are provided for every class and a dictionary of idioms is given at the end of the course. No homework is expected.

Teacher: Jeff Loeb
Jeff is a certified ESL teacher with over ten years with experience teaching adults English including the Hudson/Maynard Adult Learning Center (HMALC). He developed all the written materials provided in the class. Given his enthusiasm and experience, this course has been relevant and enjoyable.
