STEM Program: Flood Prevention

September 24-30 is Climate Preparedness Week! Learn a bit about what causes flood, then use a model to test different methods and ideas for flood prevention!

Masks are required.

Did you know that Sept 18-23, which leads up to Climate Preparedness Week, is National Estuaries Week? A Take & Make craft kit will be available on Sept. 22. Estuaries are one of the habitats that are heavily affected by climate change.

Fri. Sept 24, 2021 from 10am-4pm: Story Rocks Writing Activity
Stop by the library on these days to make a craft or partake in the activity.

Sept. 7 there is no school, and Sept. 24 is an Early Release Day.

Spend 5 minutes or spend half an hour. Just have fun!

Indoors on the 3rd Floor. Masks required. No registration needed.

Zora the Reading Dog

Zora won't read to you but you can read to Zora. Just email Mr. Mark at mmalcolm@minlib.net and he'll get you all set up to have your own ten minute session - just you and Zora. She doesn't care how well you read, she just wants to listen. If you don't have a dog you can have Zora, at least for ten minutes.

Sing songs, listen to stories, and act out rhymes at this storytime for the youngest of library visitors!
Ages 0-2 years, older siblings welcome. With Ms. Casey

The Fall session will begin outdoors or virtual, weather dependent. If held outdoors, it will occur on the patio to the right of the main entrance/book drop and attendees must practice social distancing. In case of rain, storytime will be held via Zoom.

The Fall session begins on September 20 and runs through December 13, except for Indigenous People's Day on October 11. Registration is required, however, you only have to register once.
