Upcoming Cookbook Club Schedule:
Monday, June 27 @ 12, Roosevelt Room
This month we celebrate the opening of the Maynard Farmers' Market (on Saturday, June 25, 9-1 in the Mill & Main parking lot.) We'll be cooking from two books:
Salad Days by Amy Pennington
The Complete Salad Cookbook by America's Test Kitchen
Both stretch the traditional definition of salad by including recipes that include grains, beans, fruit, pasta, and noodles in addition to leafy vegetables.
All are welcome!
You can see a list of all of our cookbook picks here.
Let everyone know what you're bringing to the Cookbook Club by leaving a message below. Please don't leave your email address though!
New in January
Spice club participants can pick up a kit that contains a spice sample and a selection of recipes.
People can share their results on library social media using the hashtag #maynardspiceclub.
There will also be an evening discussion.
Join us for our cookbook club that explores healthy and delicious seasonal food!
How does it work?
You choose and make a recipe from the selected cookbook - preferably one using fresh local produce - and join us at noon for a potluck lunch! Copies are available at the Circulation Desk.
We will enjoy the food, evaluate the cookbook, and talk about cooking, eating and shopping for ingredients. In the summer and fall, we'll take advantage of all that the Maynard Farmer's Market has to offer.
