The Friends of the Library thank you for your generous donation!

We raise money through memberships and through our book sales. These funds are used to support the library, including 100% of the the purchase price of the museum passes, as well as musical events, author talks, craft programs, job finding programs, educational programs, film screenings, the annual Summer Concert, and other programs we present throughout the year, all free and open to the public. In addition, the Friends pay for subscriptions for library patrons like Book Page and the Kanopy film streaming service. At the library's request, we recently purchased the Owl device that allows presentation of hybrid programs--in person and on Zoom. The Friends have no paid employees.

An invitation to our "invitation only" Members' Preview Sale the night before the big sale in October. Your invitation will be sent to you a few days before the fall sale.

Want to help out?

Book sales are a lot of work! We have volunteers who sort book donations throughout the year, and we also need help setting up for sales. If you would like to help out at a sale or setting up, or with book sorting, send email to fmplibrary@gmail.com.
