Maynard Community Info Fair
Wednesday, March 18
7-8:30 pm

As an all-volunteer non-profit organization, the Friends of the Maynard Library know how difficult it is to attract volunteers and communicate with the community about what we do. This winter, we will be hosting a Community Information Fair to 1) help local organizations get the word out about their services, volunteer opportunities and special events AND 2) help community members find organizations that they can get involved in. We hope your organization will be able to participate!

We will have tables around the Roosevelt Room where organizations can set up a display about their work. It can include brochures, posters, pictures, maps, sign-up sheets—anything you would like to share. Interested community members will circulate through the room to find out more about organizations. We think it would be most informative if you have a representative present to chat with, but you’re welcome to set up an unattended display instead.

We’ll also produce a handout with information from all the participating organizations with website URLs, contact information and social media sites for future contact.

We will promote this event to Maynard newcomers, parents with kids in school, empty-nesters with some free time--anyone ready to be more involved in their community. We hope you’ll help us get the word out to your members too.

If you're interested in participating, please fill out the form below. We'll get back to you with more information as we get closer to the Fair.  Some people have had trouble with the form. You can email sthurston @ minlib.net instead.
