Project Gutenberg
has 38,000 ebooks in Kindle and epub formats. These books are free to
download in the U.S. because their copyright has expired. Search the Gutenberg catalog.
LibriVox has an audiobook collection of more than 4,000 unabridged classics in the public domain. Read by volunteers (you can be one, too), they can be played on your computer, MP3 player, cellphone, or burned to a CD. Search the LibriVox catalog. E-readers at the Maynard Library
